Congratulations to Joanne T. on her new tapestry!

Weaver Statement: I wanted to combine tapestry with raised outline and wondered how raised outline could be used as a frame for a traditional tapestry image and if pick and pick could be used as negative space in the frame. Plus, I fell in love with the Lamb’s Pride color M137 Glacier Ice which I bought on a whim at Eugene Textile Center. The color made me think of the arctic which made me think of polar bears which are such beautiful animals. The polar bear is needle-felted and is my first stab (literally ) at felting.
