When a tapestry is completed we always have a show-and-tell. This past Tuesday we enjoyed seeing what our fellow weavers have accomplished.
Here is Terry sharing three of her tapestries and talking about how she incorporated what she learned from the summer workshop David Johnson taught at DFAS on using soumak. She shared some valuable tips and encouraged us to experiment and have fun with it.
This is her tapestry Bird of Paradise which she began in the workshop. Terry is clearly very talented and creative.
Becky shared two of her recently completed tapestries. The one on the left is from a summer workshop at DFAS that Mary Lane taught on using hachures. In the one on the right she has incorporated what she has learned from several workshops she has taken at DFAS – soumak, hachure, and pick and pick. Well done! They are beautiful.
Pat knitted this adorable dress for her niece. Janet completed yet another wonderful tapestry.
