A catalog of the 2024 exhibit at Latimer Quilt and Textile Center, Tillamook, Oregon.
Audrey Moore was the founder of Damascus Fiber Arts School, friend and mentor. She wove tapestries, mostly on her Navajo-style loom, for about 50 years. She had an abiding interest in Native American art and shared her craft with countless weavers.
To honor her we wove tapestries for an exhibit which took place at Latimer Quilt and Textile Center, March 5 – April 27, 2024. The exhibit showcased Audrey’s tapestries and the tapestries we wove. To commemorate this exhibit we created a full-color catalog of the work. The catalog’s 62 pages feature an introduction and memorial, photos of Audrey and 10 of her tapestries, as well as the 27 tapestries woven in her honor, each accompanied by a heartfelt artist statement describing Audrey’s significance to the weaver.
