VIDEO ONLY until November 18, 2026.
About the Speaker: Rebecca Smith says that following a series of workshops with tapestry master Archie Brennan in 1999, she primarily wove tapestries for the next 20 years. In 2018, her interest shifted to transparency weaving. In a world that feels so heavy and dark, transparencies give her an emotional lift because they are light and airy and, somehow, refreshing. Her work has been included in juried exhibitions throughout the U.S. and she also teaches her techniques throughout the country. She is a member of California Fibers, a juried group of professional fiber artists. She is a board member and active leader of the San Diego Creative Weavers’ Guild.
