Description
Beth Scarth is the instructor. A zoom link will be sent to students. Procreate is an illustration application for use on an iPad with an Apple pencil. Users can import pictures or use some of the many brushes to create original drawings. The app’s ability to use different layers, using it to make changes to colors, size and adding/deleting elements, makes it a powerful tool. In this 5-week shared learning experience, Beth will show you how to create a canvas, layers, import and export pictures, and use the tools that Procreate provides. Students need to have an iPad and an Apple Pencil that work together. Maximum: 6 students.
About the Instructor:

Beth Scarth became interested in tapestry when Damascus Fiber Arts School had a show of tapestries at the Sandy Library, where she worked. In 2014, after retirement, she began studying tapestry at the school. In the years that followed, she took workshops in Navajo-style weaving, Soumak, Zilli, Raised Outline Pick and Pick, and Wedge Weave. She enjoys experimenting with different techniques, using Procreate in her design process, and teaching others how to use it.
Beth serves as Secretary to the DFAS Board since its inception in 2020. Additionally, she reorganized the school’s library of about 500 books, cataloging them into an online database.
