Description:  Christine Thomas-Flitcroft instructs this 2-day workshop, in which students will learn worsted and woolen spinning methods. Students will practice creating a constant single yarn and consistent plying of yarns. They will be using wool & silk fiber blends and exotic fiber blends. Students will also learn how to use hand cards, a drum carder and wool combs to create woolen and worsted fiber preparations for spinning. Minimum age 18.  Materials fee of $20 is payable directly to the instructor. Maximum class size is 8. 

Christine Thomas-FlitcroftAbout the Instructor:

Christine Thomas-Flitcroft has been spinning and weaving for about forty years. She is a student of the textile arts. She studied weaving at the University of Idaho and wool and sheep production at both the University of Idaho and Montana State University. Chris owns Aurora Colony Fiber Arts. She maintains a small flock of Border Leicester sheep on her family farm in Aurora, Oregon. She specializes in selling a multitude of fibers for spinning, felting and related fiber arts.
