Description
Instructor Janet Dorow works with individual students at the level of their interest and skill. Beginners welcome. Techniques you might learn include warping, meet and separate, weaving shapes, curves, lines, pick and pick, what makes a good tapestry design, and color choices. Students join the Open Studio weavers, learning along with them. Materials purchased from the school shoppe. Students are encouraged to buy a $40 copper pipe loom. Maximum: 5 students.

About the Instructor:
Janet Dorow is a prolific tapestry artist, creating many of her designs from wildflowers and natural scenery. She admits to a secret interest in combining her love of plants with her interest in tapestry. She wants to more fully explore tapestry and continue to enjoy the learning process, which she does while teaching others to weave.
Janet has been teaching the beginning workshops for several years. She is an active volunteer at our school. She has shown her work in unjuried exhibits with the American Tapestry Alliance.
