Sally Williams studies tapestry at Damascus Fiber Arts School and especially enjoys participating in the school’s themed group projects. Sharing her create process with fellow students assists her growth as a weaver. She has studied drawing, painting, and a variety of fiber arts.
Sally weaves on small looms, assembling her palettes from reclaimed and handspun yarns. She likes images to have a story behind them. She favors pencil sketches and collages for developing her designs. Her favorite aspect of weaving includes the conversations and insights to be had in a community of makers.
