Patricia Bugas-Schramm

Patricia Bugas-SchrammPatricia Bugas-Schramm found weaving over 40 years ago. She wove functional things on the floor loom, then moved to tapestry in 1995. Patricia weaves at Damascus Fiber Arts School and has worked with a series of well-known tapestry artists on both design and technique.

Patricia says that her tapestries reflect the Pacific Northwest environment where people are linked and worlds are connected by water. The symmetrical strength and elegance of bridges that span the Columbia and Willamette Rivers have drawn my eye since I was a little girl.
