Janet Dorow

Janet Dorow

Many years of sporadic interest in weaving and in fiber arts led Janet Dorow to the Damascus Fiber Arts School and tapestry weaving. Janet retired as a research assistant in 2002 and became a master gardener. While volunteering at Leach Botanical Garden in Portland, Oregon, she developed a strong interest in plants and flowers both native and non-native.

At the Leach Garden Janet met the librarian, who happened to be a tapestry weaver. An invitation to visit the Damascus Fiber Arts School sparked a dormant interest in weaving and a specific interest in tapestry.

Janet Dorow says her secret desire is to combine her love of plants with tapestry. This gallery shows some of her work.
