Candace Pratt works, weaves and fires glass from her studio in Portland, Oregon. She is the owner of Icings® Glass and has manufactured architectural glass for residential installations for over two decades.
More recently she has been drawn to mixed media fine art where she merges her love of fiber and glass into creations that speak to social justice issues. Her current focus is basketry and vessels, where the base and spokes of the vessel are made of kiln formed glass, and the weft and surface embellishments include yarn, reed, metal, and beads.
